A message from Friends of Thailand

Sawasdee ka Sticky Rice Readers,

We are Friends of Thailand (FoT), a non-profit organization made up of RPCVs from Thailand who are committed to upholding the mission of Peace Corps Thailand through supporting volunteer projects, connecting the Peace Corps Thailand community, and archiving their experience. With over 1,300 members on our communication list, our reach spans the globe, keeping RPCVs connected to one another through the shared experience of serving the Thai people.

FoT are longtime readers, once-upon-a-time contributors, and big fans of all things Sticky Rice! –and now full-fledged funders of Sticky Rice’s great work.

FoT’s primary way of financially supporting the volunteer experience in the field is through the Peace Corps Partnership Program. Since our founding in 2001 we have funded more than 140 PCV community projects, plus other initiatives – including tsunami relief, RPCV projects, and now Sticky Rice. Contributions to FoT also help us maintain a veritable library of the volunteer experience, including bio books, community service projects, celebrations, reunions, and more. We are inspired by the service of current volunteers and want to congratulate all of the recent folks who have closed their service and officially become returned Peace Corps volunteers.

The Peace Corps community, in the United States and around the world, is a strong and welcoming one. Friends of Thailand is proud to be a place for RPCVs and friends to connect, share, and support the mission that unites us. We would love for you to join us. Using the links below, we encourage you to visit our website, join our mailing list, and connect with us on our Facebook and Connect+ pages.

We look forward to welcoming you into the RPCV Thailand community through Friends of Thailand, and we thank you for your service to the people of Thailand. Kap kun na ka.
