Chaa Thai Podcast, Season 2 Ep. 26 Tea with RPCVs

Chaa Thai is a podcast spilling the tea on Peace Corps volunteer life in Thailand! Each episode, hosts Alyssa Strong and Lilly Hromadka interview a current Peace Corps volunteer in Thailand and do a deep dive on their experience at their host site. The tea is that there are as many examples of what service is like for a volunteer in Thailand as there are volunteers — join us as we get a taste!

As the end of our service nears and our sights turn towards home, we’ve sent our tea table traveling around the world to catch up with some of our Group 135 friends who left Thailand before us. Luckily, our invitation was received in a vibrant Korean city by Samantha and in an Oregon oceanside oasis by Ken and TJ, one of our Group 135 couples.

A two-time Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, Samantha’s blend of tea showcases the warmth and depth of Kenya and Thailand, with a spice that’s uniquely Korean. Ken and TJ share a blend sweetened by serving with a partner in the golden years of life, and made bold by the love and commitment to their country, community, and continual growth. All three guests spill cups of wisdom from their time in the Peace Corps, as well as from life as returned volunteers. Find your boarding pass, secure your seatbelt, sit back, and relax for this week’s nostalgic blend of Chaa Thai!
